“Aging: It Does Not End Well” is a 75-minute solo play that looks at later years from all angles with edgy humor and poignant moments. Unlike Guerrero’s solo play ¡Gaytino! Made in America that he wrote and performed on nationwide stages including the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Aging will be a digital online experience.
After a series of live readings to hone the piece, filming at a theatre with an audience is planned for 2025. The full performance will be dropped on social media platforms including YouTube and Vimeo. Video clips will be posted on Instagram, Facebook, X and TikTok while audio files pulled from the live performance will create a Podcast series. It’s a new age and at age 84, Guerrero is keeping up with the times.
THE AGING PROJECT IS SUPPORTED IN PART BY A GRANT FROM THE EASTSIDE ARTS INITIATIVE.
