DAN GUERRERO has an impressive career in entertainment spanning decades beginning in the New York theatre scene of the 60s and 70s and he’s still going strong. A move back to Los Angeles where he grew up took him into producing for television with a focus on music-driven programming featuring major international artists. He later turned to directing live large-scale productions at prestigious venues including multiple events at the Kennedy Center in Washington.
Returning to his theater roots, Guerrero wrote and performed an autobiographical solo play that toured the country to great success and was eventually filmed. The storytelling ¡Gaytino! Made in America travels through decades of Mexican American/Chicano history and the gay experience from a personal perspective. The film has been widely acclaimed on the festival circuit and continues screening at special venues including Ebay Global Headquarters in San Jose, CA.
Dan shows no sign of slowing down and is currently doing workshop readings of his new solo piece at Los Angeles venues. Aging: It Does Not End Well is among projects in development for the stage and the big screen.
Guerrero is a firm believer that age should never keep anyone from creating new paths and moving forward.
